What advanced technology is in the works? What is known, and unknown, about the limits
of knowledge? Who knows what secrets lurk in the hearts of men? (The Shadow knows...)
Could the stuff seen weekly (daily, in repeats) on the various incarnations of Star Trek
ever really exist? Probably not, but this book provides an entertaining excursion into the
borderlands of science.
The fascinating history of United States spy
satellites, from the early development days in the 1950s through Project CORONA and
beyond. You think they aren't watching you? Always use your lead-lined umbrella when
outdoors, just to be sure...
Another by Commando-- Commander X. We love
this guy! If he didn't exist we'd have to invent him. And since we eschew making things up
(and obfuscation!), it's for the best that somebody else did it for us-- er, we mean it's
a relief we don't have to make him up ourselves-- er, we mean at least we have plausible
deniability! For all we know he really does exist!
But the Amazon customers have mixed reviews... "[A]nother epic by the
controversial Commander X" ... "Actually a lot far fetched"
... "A masterpiece told by Commander X" ... "Stupid book written by someone
who might possibly need therapy."
Tesla is the father of
Alternating Current -- he designed the first hydro-electric generators built at Niagra
Falls -- the inventor of radio (a dispute settled in the courts with Marconi). But in
addition to this, he experimented in more esoteric applications of electricity and power
distribution. Among them was a concept for wireless transmission of power using the Earth
as a giant capacitor. And that leads us to HAARP and mind
control...
The Holy Grail of esoteric technology, the quest for
zero point energy promises unlimited power, in every meaning of the word. Nick Cook, an
aviation reporter and editor at Jane's Defense Weekly, probes deep into the world of
garage inventors, Nazi rocket engineers, NASA scientists and shadowy government programs.
Is it for real?

In
the early 1920's Dr. Paul A. Biefield, a physicist and adquaintance of Albert Einstein,
working at the California Institute for Advanced Studies, discovered that a highly charged
capacitor has an anomalous tendency to move in the direction of its positive pole.
Biefield assigned Thomas Townsend Brown, his prodigy, to study the phenomena as a research
project. T.T. Brown has since become something of a legend amongst fringe or
"out-there" inventors. Will his anti-gravity theories hold up, or will they
collapse under their own weight?
"Lost Science" is
right! No doubt some readers will wish it stayed lost. Others will wonder why we still use
internal combustion engines. As for us, we wonder if anyone will actually buy the book.
That Commander X cannot
be stopped! He is all over this stuff! Well, if you want to make a "Quantum Leap"
into the past (or the future!) check this one out.
